I am STOKED for the upcoming Stereotype Friday show for Jack Beats. After the olympics it is time to chill out, but I guess March 12 is going to be MY return to partying in Van. I heard the “I’m not your toy” mix a while ago, just before this night was announced!

After two LONG weeks of going out almost every night to INK HOUSE and other shows in the city, the Olympics are gone and it’s time to rest up!
The deadmau5 show was last night, and I did some surfing this morning to come across a couple tracks I hadn’t heard before, random but not too shabby…

Last night deadmau5 was announced as the final show for Alvaro/Blueprint’s INK HOUSE series of events at Gossip Nightclub in Vancouver, BC for the 2010 Winter Olympic Games!

I figured it was ABSOLUTELY necessary to put up a few mau5tracks to make sure everyone was exposed to the trueeee mau5 and not just the Top 40 track5.
Yet again, it has been a while since I’ve had time to update the blog. I’ve got a few new tracks that I’m really enjoying, and thought you may as well. Check them out, party hard, it is going to be a crazyyy couple weeks!!! View Full Article »

Data does it again with a great mix of La Roux’s I’m Not Your Toy… This one is at the top of Hype Machine and has a great beat to it. Also a couple other new tracks, including an awesome Soulwax remix of David Bowie’s Rebel Rebel!! Seems the music scene slowed right down over the holidays, but hopefully will get started again and we can get some great new tracks up!

Armin van Buuren released the A State of Trance 2009 on December 31. I’ve listened to it a few times and have chosen a few tracks that I think are pretty great. This isn’t the usual dance electro that makes it up here, but is worthy of a listen while doing homework, work, or just hanging around after a HARD night out!
Here is a mashup from DJ Earworm of the top 25 songs from 2010! Not of the usual sound for SAJW but a pretty cool mix.
Cheers!
Just when I had started listening to a few Shiny Toy Gun tracks again, hoping that they would release some new material, this came along. While it doesn’t quite satisfy my longing for a new track, the remixes of existing gems are working for me in the mean time. Here are a few picks from the album that I hope you will like!

I’m sorry that it has been a while since an update, but the music world has been quite uninspiring for the past week in my opinion. Thus, a tribue to Simian Mobile Disco seemed like a good idea to keep the ball rolling and bring in the weekend. Wolfgang is at Modern tonight, so we need some pre-party music!

It’s time for an update with some great tracks and remixes… just in time for the weekend!

It’s an unfortunate thing that we make the most of by partying hard, I’m turning another year older. Thank you to everyone for the past year, it’s been fannnnnntastic! The coming one will just be better, remember, “You Can Sleep When You’re Seventy.”
I’ve put together a few tracks that have been popular during this past year, are new this week, or have just plain and simple, been popular to me! I hope you enjoy them.
The celebration will be at Celebrities Nightclub on December 11, 2009 for Steve Angello!

The Bloody Beetroots are dropping a new ep on December 8th, and I think everyone should get it. I’ve posted the three songs below, and a pretty sick video is included in the official release.

This song is really popular, but I can’t quite handle the original, so Fred Falke has whipped off a mix that is much better than the original. Club hit for sure!

Here is another sick mix from Sam La More of the ever fabulous Sneaky Sound System…

I found a bunch of remixes by Sam La More that are pretty sick. They’ve got a bit of the Hook ‘N Sling vibe goin on that keep you into the track all the way through… Here’s a remix of Lover Electric’s Honey and the original track, I Wish It Could Last.
Check out the latest from local DJ AFX in his early release of the December Global Trancemission.
Here is a selection of tracks that keep the beat going all night. Often heard at Gorgamish… Thanks to C.T. for the track list!
